Balk Shipyard appoints Evan Kortmann CEO
Daan Balk, the seventh generation of Balk to direct and manage the refit and repair shipyard Balk Shipyard, has entered semi-retirement. Balk has successfully managed the operations at Balk Shipyard since 1998, overseeing major growth, a facility change to its current location in Urk, the Netherlands, and a merger with Zhongying Intl Holding Group Ltd, which will support future expansion plans for the Dutch Shipyard.

World’s first 40m Mangusta Maxi Open 132E
TWW Yachts is pleased to announce the sale of another new-build project for 2023 to one of its longstanding US clients. The buyer of the 39.85-metre Mangusta Maxi Open 132E superyacht by Overmarine Group was introduced by Jean-Claude Carme who closed the sale with the support and assistance of Overmarine’s sales department. Delivery is expected in July 2024.
Benetti launches second B.Now 50m Oasis Deck Alunya
The 49.9-metre superyacht Alunya joined the market in May 2022 and was quickly snapped up by an experienced owner and client of TWW Yachts. Michael White & David Westwood, the two Principle Partners of the multinational brokerage house, introduced the buyer and managed Alunya throughout her build. The Benetti B.Now 50m superyacht will join the TWW Yacht Management Fleet post delivery.
